A slab of the high country given legs and a temper. When the rot soaked into the mountain passes, the peaks grew jealous of the roads carved through them, and one shrugged itself loose to take the high road back. The Avalanche Troll IS the mountain that moves — it hurls the pass down on travelers boulder by boulder, and dies the way mountains do: cracked, at last, and slowly.
