Kudrek's siege-master, sent to tunnel beneath Harrowgate before the war ended. The breach is still nearly ready, thirty years on. Kaurax roots in the Emberpit Abyss like a coal that refuses to gutter, growing fatter on the fires that feed him, promising his warlord sappers who burned long ago. The Unfallen still waits for word. Kaurax has decided he can keep waiting.
