Harrowgate never fell, and its walls remember why. The Rampart Wights are the garrison dead who refused to leave their posts — soldiers of the great siege who burned, froze, or starved at their stations and simply kept standing them. They challenge all comers for the watchword of a war thirty years finished, and strike down every answer as treason. The Iron Tithe leaves offerings on the battlements, and walks the long way round.
