Where Vharn inherits, Maugrave devours. He did not usurp any throne — he usurped the kings themselves, and wore them in, one reign at a time, until every kingdom he ate still called him Majesty. Now he holds court in the deep places for an audience of the swallowed, demanding applause, demanding blood, demanding louder. The crown is hollow. He is still filling it.
