Esbren the Rime-Bound Warden froze the memories so the Quiet Sworn could not take them — and froze everything else too. The Ice Golems of the Weeping Rime are meltwater packed around whatever the Warden could not bear to lose: a doorframe, a plough, a bridesmaid's arm. They stand very still, keeping something safe, and crush anyone who might thaw it.
