THE WILDS

The old crowns raised their stone slowly, and the stone remembers being raised. Crag Golems are watchtower and boundary-wall come loose from ruined foundations, walking the broken trade-roads with masonry shoulders and doorway hearts. They were built to keep roads safe, and in their patient, grinding way they still believe they are — the trouble being that thirty years of rot has confused them about which side the travelers are on.
