Wreckers' Barnacled Plate

Bargrave, the Wreck-Reeve, taxed every hull the reefs dragged down, and dressed his drowned crews in the salvage. This plate is more barnacle than iron, grown heavy with the sea's slow interest. It reeks of low tide and old greed, and it keeps its wearer from ever floating.
