These burrowers gorged on the glowing spores until crystal seeded through their flesh, segment by segment, and now they gleam like reliquaries as they hunt. The Cinderwood Coven prizes their shed facets; the wise note that the crystal keeps growing after the worm dies, which suggests it was never really the worm doing the eating.
