This policy explains what information Kierstein’s Fallen Lands (“the game”, “we”) collects, why, and your choices. The game is made by an independent developer. Questions: edisoniverbotor@gmail.com.
Play without an account
You can play as a guest — no email or personal details required. An account is optional and only needed if you want to secure your progress across devices.
What we collect
- Account (optional): if you add an email, we store that email and a display name so you can sign back in.
- Gameplay: your character progress, stats, cosmetics, and leaderboard results, so the game can save and sync your play.
- Purchases: in-app purchases are processed by Apple. We receive a confirmation that a purchase happened (and its type) to grant your items — we never see your card or payment details.
- Referral program (only if you enter a code): if you choose to use a creator or friend referral code, we collect device-integrity signals (Apple App Attest / DeviceCheck), a hashed, salted IP address, and gameplay activity. This is used solely to prevent referral fraud and abuse (bots and fake accounts) — not for advertising. If you never use a code, none of this applies.
- Diagnostics: basic crash and performance data to keep the game stable.
How we use it
- Run the game, save and sync your progress, and show leaderboards.
- Grant and restore in-app purchases.
- Prevent fraud and abuse in the referral program.
- Provide support and fix bugs.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share only what’s needed with:
- Apple — for in-app purchases and app services.
- Supabase — our backend/database host, which stores your account and game data on our behalf.
- Fraud & payment providers — used only to verify referrals and, for approved creators, to make payouts.
- A creator you chose — if you enter a creator’s code and tick the optional “share my progress” box, we share your level, playtime, and milestones with that creator. This is off by default and never required to redeem a code.
Retention
We keep your account and game data while your account exists. Anti-fraud device/IP signals are kept only as long as needed to prevent abuse and are then removed or de-identified. Purchase and tax records are kept as required by law. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete Account, which removes your personal data (some anonymised records may remain for legal and anti-fraud reasons).
Your choices & rights
- Play as a guest with no personal data.
- Access, correct, or delete your data — email us or use in-app Delete Account.
- Decline progress-sharing with creators (it’s opt-in).
Children
The game is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we’ll remove it.
Changes
We may update this policy; we’ll change the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in-app.
